Schedule
The Important Foundation
One of the most important things that you can do is plan your schedule. No matter what your task is, if you don’t take the time to write out your schedule then how can you hold yourself accountable.
When I first began training I started recommending to everyone that they make a monthly planner and pencil in their workouts. Almost everyone would reply, “its in my head.” You would be amazed at how often I would call a client and ask them what they were working out and they didn’t know or worse they would guess.
Look working out doesn’t envolve brain expertise, but it does involve hard, planned work. I have always carried a schedule around with me and I write down what I worked out and how much weight I used. I do this for several reasons. It tells me what I need to prepare for and because of the workout what time of day I have to hit the gym. If I am doing an upper body workout then I know I have to be a the gym before 5pm or I know I will be at home doing my workout because our gym is too packed. Secondly it tells me if I am progressing in my workouts or if I am beginning to over train.
If you need a planner, this is one of the best, FREE, planners I have ever found. Its simple and easy, and you just download it to your desktop. Click on the picture below for your free download.
