Where is My Protein?

There are many different ways for you to get your protein, but if you need assistance I have compiled a list of several different types of proteins and how many grams of protein are in each type. I have ranked the sources from highest to lowest.

United States

  • Soy Beans - 10 grams/ounce
  • Ostrich - 10 grams/ounce
  • Beef - 7 grams/ounce
  • Chicken - 7 grams/ounce
  • Fish - 7 grams/ounce
  • Egg - 7 grams/egg
  • Milk - 7 grams/cup
  • Bread - 4 grams/slice
  • Veg’s - 4 grams/cup
  • Peanuts- 7 grams/ounce
  • Red Beans - 6 grams/ounce
  • Cashews - 5 grams/ounce

*Please note that this is just a sample and almost every manufacturer will differ on their grams and serving size slightly.  I look at the sodium content and the sugar content before ever making a purchase.
